History
Synergetics NV, based in Antwerp, Belgium, was founded in 1995 by Luk Vervenne, who also holds the position of CEO in the company. Synergetics was co-founder of NetVision, currently Cybertrust / Verizon Business, and of Globalsign, Europe’s first digital certificate authority.
Synergetics co-founded the HR-XML Consortium Europe, and is a board member of ELIG (European Learning Industry Group) and of EIfeL (European Institute for eLearning).
In recent years, Synergetics has become a well-respected industry thought leader with a broad experience in the field of human capital process innovation, learning management, knowledge management, content management, competency management and trust infrastructures.
Concentra Group NV, a leading publisher in Belgium, signed up as a shareholder in 2005.
