The Competency Analyser© is a commercial fruition of the European Prolix project, a 48 months research and development project co-funded by the European Commission under the Sixth Framework Programme. The objective of PROLIX is to align learning with business processes in order to enable organisations to improve the competencies of their employees faster in view of continuously changing business requirements.
The Competency Analyser© makes companies and individuals more competitive by reducing the Time2Competency, i.e. the time it takes to fill competency gaps and enhance proficiency based on business needs and daily work processes.
The Competency Analyser© has a matching engine that helps you to determine who is the most suitable person for a particular job. By setting up competency profiles and matching them to artefacts, it can calculate who has the most suitable competency profile. An artefact can be anything that plays a role in the competency cycle, like individuals, roles, didactical models, functions, business processes or learning resources.
In the process of matching competency profiles, the Competency Analyser© is also able to suggest a learning path, the quickest way to bridge a possible competency gap, presented in the form of learning materials.
